Google unveils its latest AI-powered chatbot, Bard!
Bard is a rival to the popular AI platform ChatGPT and leverages LaMDA (Language Model for Dialogue Applications), Google's own language model.
Bard provides answers to user queries in a conversational way, using information from the web to provide fresh and high-quality responses.
At its core, Bard is powered by LaMDA, a language model built on the Transformer neural network architecture.
Currently, Bard is not publicly available for testing, but select users have access to it. Google is releasing a "lightweight model version" of LaMDA to receive more feedback.
Google's roll-out of Bard was delayed due to employee allegations, but CEO Sundar Pichai believes the world is ready for generative AI following the positive reception of ChatGPT.
